EPDM diaphragm

Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer rubber is a copolymer of ethylene, propylene and a small amount of non-conjugated diene. It is a kind of ethylene propylene rubber and is represented by EPDM, It is excellent in aging resistance such as ozone, heat resistance, weather resistance and so on because its main chain is a chemically stable saturated hydrocarbon and It consists of only unsaturated double bonds in the side chain. It has a wide range of applications

Advantages

Good weather resistance and ozone resistance

Excellent water resistance and chemical resistance

Suitable for alcohols and ketones

High temperature steam resistance, low gas permeability

EPDM can be used in applications as follow:

Weak acid

Alkali

Hot water and steam.

Inorganic acids and a variety of organic acids

Silicone oil and silicone ester

Multiple polar solvents (alcohols, ketones, esters)

EPDM can not be used in applications as follow:

Animal fats

Aromatic or aliphatic carbohydrates

Concentrated acids

Therefore, the diaphragms of this material is particularly suitable for use in the field of hygienic treatment requiring steam sterilization and oxidizing media.
